The BCF project on the use of sanitary pads consists of a team of medical practitioners who were employed to work and deliver this project. The initiative is committed to free donation of sanitary pads, and health awareness programme and sensitisation on using sanitary pads, maintenance of hygiene during mentrual cycle, healthy way to manage mentrual cycle by the less privileged especially in the rural areas, female prisoners across the country.
The importance of maintaining good hygiene during mentrual cycle by using approved sanitary pads cannot be over emphasised and urgent need to curb the use of old rags, muds, leaves to collect menstrual blood due to ignorance of the risks involved and lack of money. This project intends to visit rural areas, prisons, villages with a wide range of services which includes:
Health is wealth. The Brothers of Charity Foundation is well aware of this truism and would support women, Children and Youth to be and remain disease-free. To this end, there would be vaccinations for all those children who are still at the age of vaccination. There would also be tests and treatments for ailments like hepatitis, malaria, eye problems etc.
